Chessboards
Chessboards come in a variety of types. There are cheap vinyl boards, and there are also classic wooden boards. Chessboards have various square sizes. When buying one, make sure the square size is appropriate for your pieces.
Wooden chessboards differ in size, colour and wood type used. Some boards are foldable - they can be folded in half. Some boards have a container for the pieces underneath. Some boards have the algebraic notation at the rim, while others don't. Prices vary greatly, mainly depending on the type of wood used.

Vinyl chessboards are cheaper than wooden ones. They are durable, they are rollable, they are perfect for large tournaments or chess clubs. Such board should survive a long time, and even if it gets damaged, it's easy to replace.
